EIVA-SAFEX wanted to implement a solution to save time and support customers with their compliance needs. It had to be easy to use and offer the traceability and transparency that was required by lifting standards and regulations.
EIVA-SAFEX has always been an improvement leader in the lifting industry. The company began looking for digital solutions to documentation and compliance challenges over 20 years ago. It found Onix Work; a system specifically designed for the needs, rules and standards of the lifting industry.
The original Onix Work was very different from the software of today, but the principle was the same – to simplify documentation processes for compliance and safety. In the early days, the focus was on the digital database which offered EIVA-SAFEX a centralized approach to equipment management.
The company has been with Onix ever since as a partner and collaborator. When Onix Inspect was launched in 2014, EIVA-SAFEX was one of the first adopters. With the mobile app and customizable checklists, inspectors can complete inspections onsite and generate documentation instantly.
EIVA-SAFEX also began using Onix Pick & Pack for order handling of new equipment sales and Onix Express to deliver digital documentation directly to customers.

Onix Inspect has enabled EIVA-SAFEX inspectors to save weeks of work for themselves and significantly improve turnarounds for customers. Equipment tagging with RFID, QR and NFC technology has further contributed to this efficiency. The team can now inspect thousands of items of equipment in a matter of days and deliver complete digital documentation instantly.
Gianluca Coraggio has been working at EIVA-SAFEX and with Onix for 16 years. He reflected on the difference Onix has made to inspection work over the years: “Inspections are a piece of cake now. EIVA-SAFEX is both a user of Onix products, a partner and a has built its own tagging solution, ECOSAFE, on Onix software. This expert experience means the team can offer first-hand advice to its customers on how to meet documentation requirements and improve their own equipment management. The support offered includes setting up and training customers in Onix Work. To date, EIVA-SAFEX has registered over 1 million pieces of equipment in the software for its customers.
